Description
The OC Masonry Products Area Sales Manager reports to the Regional Sales Leader, and will cover a specified territory in the United States.
The primary accountability of this position is the delivery of the annual sales plan through strategic planning and execution. Critical tasks will include calling on the specification community and building materials value stream; consisting of architects, designers, commercial accounts, distributors and builders to create "pull through" sales for the OCMP product line and converting business from our competition. Development and maintenance of a network of qualified installers and distributors is needed to hold and convert specifications. Development and maintenance of proper distribution channels is vital to the success of this position. Development of internal and external relationships, along with product knowledge to execute on a One Company “pull through” approach, is also required. This position has overall business development responsibilities for the region.
The ideal home office location is Albany NY, Boston MA
The selected candidate will have a college degree in sales, marketing, business or a related field, 10+ years in B2B sales, accomplished in strategic territory planning and execution, accomplished in architectural and residential builder sales (specification creation, pull through selling and conversion of competitive specifications), accomplished in channel management and has demonstrated professional growth. The selected candidate will have the following:
